This place called "Protect & Serve" do not serve those who are seriously in need of police help. Instead they will listen to those who do drugs (because they are most likely receiving drugs from the dealers) than to the person who is sober. It took them an entire day to investigate a crime that happened hours ago (I call this lazy behavior because the house that had the crime most likely supplies their little drug habits). When an officer gets called out to a particular area - if they do not know you - they will most likely interrogate you as if you were the criminal before they even go investigate the crime itself. Because this is such a puny little community - the officers are more likely going to label you as suspect in that particular crime especially if you just moved into town. As a critic and voicing my opinion - I don't think there should be a separate office in this county called ACPD. We don't need them. We have Calaveras Sheriff already and the jail is placed in the next town. This area is far too small to have 2 separate forces of law going on. It is confusing and the ACPD are corrupt. If you are a victim to a crime you will be arrested, not the criminal. The office on this street is rarely open for walk ins. Suspicious behavior is always going on when the detectives come around. I wish for a better community and service for this area!
